About The Position

As our West Coast Safety Representative, you will work hands-on with field teams to uphold CHC's safety culture across active job sites- primarily focused on marine, pile driving, and heavy civil operations. This is a boots-on-the-ground, highly visible role where your leadership will make a real impact in protecting lives and enhancing operational excellence.

Requirements

• 2+ years of safety experience in marine construction, pile driving, or heavy civil environments
• Working knowledge of OSHA, USCG, FDOT standards and construction best practices
• Strong communication and leadership skills in field-based settings
• Proficiency in digital documentation and safety reporting tools.
• Must live in the Sarasota/ Casey Key region.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification
• First Aid/CPR/AED/BBP Certified
• Familiarity with FDOT, EPA, FDEP, OSHA, USCG standards
• Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular job site inspections, audits, and safety observations on marine and construction projects
• Support field crews by promoting safe work practices and providing mentoring, leadership, and management guidance to maintain compliance with company and regulatory safety standards (OSHA, USCG, FDOT, etc.)
• Assist in incident investigations, reporting, and root cause analysis
• Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, job hazard analysis, and behavior-based observations.
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Quality Control, and Project Management teams to proactively address safety concerns
• Monitor and document safe work practices through project reporting platforms
• Travel to job sites along Florida's west coast (up to 75%)
