About The Position

The Roofing Estimator/Project Manager role at GPac involves calculating job budgets, preparing formal bids, and managing commercial roofing projects. This position requires interfacing with clients to ensure project specifications align with industry standards while maintaining relationships with subcontractors and project teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in Commercial Roofing Estimation.
• Working knowledge of commercial roofing documentation.
• General contracting knowledge.
• Ability to write and review contracts.
• Experience with EDGE estimating software is a plus.
• BS/BA in Construction, Engineering, or Business is a plus.
• Knowledge of various roof systems, materials, construction processes, and theories.
• Ability to identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standards.

• Experience with EDGE estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Developing accurate and complete job estimates.
• Identifying project labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, written specifications, and related documents.
• Conducting site visits and attending pre-bid meetings to understand project scope.
• Conducting review and take-off of blueprints.
• Soliciting bids from subcontractors.
• Gathering subcontractor pricing and conducting scope review.
• Evaluating subcontractor bids to bid documents and plans to ensure that the full scope of work was considered.
• Considering subcontractors' ability to perform the work.
• Calculating costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
• Collaborating with the client to help them achieve their project cost budget through consideration of plan details, alternate material/finishes, and building methods.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and the Pre-Construction team to maintain relationships with existing clients and subcontractors.
• Producing P&L reports.
