Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping and flexing.
  • Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
  • Ability to work with a knife (if trained).
  • Ability to work in cold (20-40 degrees) and warm (over 100 degrees) areas.
  • Ability to work in a wet and humid environment.
  • Ability to wear a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work around strong smells/odors.
  • Ability to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
  • Ability to walk long distances.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs overhead and single lift heavy objects up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Handle materials and use hand tools, knives, machinery, and equipment to deliver food responsibly.
  • Perform physically demanding work requiring good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, strength, and stamina.
  • Set up, monitor, and adjust oven temperature and time controls.
  • Clear faults and reset HMI/Oven/Loader.
  • Examine products during and after baking to ensure product quality.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions in the process room.
  • Ensure pans are not damaged and maintain proper pan orientation.
