About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Trinity Health Michigan focuses on providing high-quality nursing care in the Inpatient Rehabilitation department. The role involves working with patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries, strokes, orthopedic surgeries, and spinal cord trauma. The RN will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, educating patients and families, and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Graduation from a school of nursing that qualifies for the NCLEX exam to become a licensed Registered Nurse
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification for specific departments
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and age-specific needs
• Interpersonal skills to maintain collegial relationships and therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Critical thinking skills necessary for performing nursing duties
• Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail in nursing care

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree preferred
• Experience as a Canadian Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care
• Uses teach back methodology to educate patient and family
• Actively seeks to prevent potential hospital acquired conditions
• Effectively communicates patient status, priority goals and interventions during consultations, rounds and handoffs
• Follows all HIPAA policies and procedures
