About The Position

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot Inc. is a part-time role focused on providing comprehensive solutions to customers, including products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. This position emphasizes building customer relationships, supporting a customer-centric environment, and contributing to a positive workplace culture aligned with the company's core values. The Team Lead will engage with customers to drive sales, ensure satisfaction, and may perform key carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing the store.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for information access.
  • Skilled in Customer Service and Print Services experience desired.
  • Advanced selling skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and assist others professionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high quality production in the Print Services area.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function while driving overall store sales.
  • Assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
  • Utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and coordinate appropriate service for all customers throughout the store.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; support loss prevention efforts.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels, coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention.
  • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided.
  • Ensure safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.
  • Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including driving awareness of key performance indicators and activating/deactivating the store's alarm system.
