About The Position

The Restaurant Manager at Smashburger is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a positive work environment, and managing the performance of Shift Leaders and employees. This role emphasizes training, guest service, and adherence to operational standards, all while promoting a culture of teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Manager experience in restaurants
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to follow Smashburger uniform standards
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • People management skills to effectively lead restaurant teams
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven time management, consistency, and organizational skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in high and low temperatures

Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance of multiple Shift Leaders and Employees
  • Promote a fun and positive work environment
  • Manage the effectiveness of people-focused processes and systems
  • Provide initial and ongoing training to all employees
  • Reward and recognize employee performance that exceeds company standards
  • Manage daily operational checklists including line checks and uniform standards
  • Manage guest experience metrics (NPS and OSAT)
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • Exemplify guest service and communicate service standards to employees
  • Manage onboarding and training for new employees
  • Support routine management communication
  • Follow COGS management procedures for food ordering and inventory
  • Ensure adherence to company cash policies
  • Manage daily labor and build schedules based on sales trends
  • Manage local store marketing programs as assigned
