About The Position

The Respite Program Coordinator at Covey Inc. is responsible for overseeing the operations of two Respite Homes in Oshkosh and Appleton, Wisconsin. This role involves building relationships with residents and staff, ensuring adequate staffing, and managing documentation and care activities. The coordinator will support team development, performance reviews, and training while maintaining safety and compliance in the homes.

Requirements

• Past or current experience leading and mentoring a team.
• Understanding of how to help participants overcome barriers and challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with participants, families, and employees.
• Strong organizational skills to manage operations effectively.
• Ability to manage problems and crises, even during off-hours or outings.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record, personal vehicle, and auto insurance.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
• Experience working with diverse groups of people.
• Ability to respond to onsite emergencies within 30 minutes when on-call.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of Covey's two Respite Homes in Oshkosh and Appleton.
• Build engaging relationships with residents and staff by guiding, helping, and supporting them.
• Ensure that both homes are adequately and appropriately staffed by overseeing schedules.
• Manage charting and Individual Support Plans (ISPs) to ensure proper documentation.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure direct care activities are completed according to participants' needs.
• Support team development through performance reviews and goal setting.
• Ensure all team members receive necessary training and support.
• Manage safety, compliance, supply management, and grocery shopping for the homes.
