About The Position

We're looking for a motivated Remote Service Engineer to join our Online Technical Support team, delivering remote diagnostics, support, and service to customers across the U.S. and Canada. In this role, you'll help customers solve technical challenges related to Agilent's industry-leading Gas Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography, and Spectroscopy instruments. You'll act as a trusted advisor, delivering prompt and accurate support, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will also leverage post-sales interactions with customers to probe and qualify for further revenue opportunities. Location: Wilmington, DE Hours: Must be able to work between the hours 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Hybrid Work Policy: Work from Home on Mondays and Fridays and Onsite work on Tuesdays to Thursdays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing field.
  • Theoretical or technical knowledge applied in real-world situations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities; able to determine effective solutions independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and remote support platforms.
  • Logical troubleshooting mindset and customer-first attitude.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow within the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate in French is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support via phone, email, and chat platforms.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Agilent instrumentation.
  • Consult with customers on Agilent's product use and application.
  • Deliver educational services through e-learning and minor training sessions.
  • Create and curate technical content and support articles.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve customer needs.
  • Identify additional service or product opportunities during support interactions.
  • Support transactional sales via qualified leads and service returns.
  • Potentially assist in instrument repair/refurbishment at a service center or on-site with a Field Service Engineer.
