About The Position

Position Objective: To perform tasks required to maintain Area 2 of Facility Maintenance. Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility): Comply with procedures found in job requirement book. Perform all job duties using safe work methods. Comply with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy. Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as required. Comply with all environmental procedures and programs. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Maintain facility water, steam, and air supply lines: Maintain all steam and water valves, repair or replace as required. Must be available for emergency call in when called upon by supervision. Must be available to work over in the event of support equipment is down. Assist other maintenance personnel as directed by supervision. Run or repair all air, steam, and water lines throughout plant. Assist with RGV schedule maintenance inspections. Perform inspection of cranes as scheduled in SHARP. Record results on form (SAFF063.5). Perform inspection of electric powered overhead chair hoist as scheduled in SHARP. Record results on form (SAFF063.6). Assists other Maintenance department personnel as needed. Non-Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility): Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, or walk for eight (8) to twelve (12) hours. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry, and reach occasionally. Ability to lift packages weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds occasionally. Other Requirements: Must have a high school education or its equivalent. Must possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Actively participates in the Quality P.R.I.D.E. Process. Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required. Must be able to work without close supervision. Must demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge.
