About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry Unit at Mission Regional Medical Center is responsible for delivering safe and effective patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves direct patient care, guiding nursing personnel, and maintaining high standards of care in a Med/Surg/Telemetry environment. The nurse will communicate with physicians regarding patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in patient status.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic study results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
