Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke’s Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care for cancer blood disorders. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care. What you can expect from this role Full-time (0.9 FTE): day shift – no nights or weekends! Schedule: 4 days a week x 9-hour shifts Magnet designated Sign-on bonus & relocation assistance eligible for new hires! Certification pay available (ex. OCN) Float between primary registered nurse (RN) roles and Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology triage areas Provide coverage in Medical Oncology as a primary RN for the Medical Oncologists Utilize strong critical thinking and assessment skills to triage calls and evaluate patients of all ages undergoing treatment Promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families

Requirements

  • Nursing Degree
  • One (1) + years’ RN experience
  • Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute

Nice To Haves

  • Oncology experience and/or OCN certification

  • Float between primary registered nurse (RN) roles and Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology triage areas
  • Provide coverage in Medical Oncology as a primary RN for the Medical Oncologists
