About The Position

The RAM/FRACAS Engineering Lead at Raytheon is responsible for overseeing the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) program activities. This role involves conducting analyses, defining RAM requirements, and ensuring compliance with performance standards. The lead will also engage in failure analysis, present findings to stakeholders, and support proposal processes related to RAM/FRACAS work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Reliability, Failure Analysis, and/or Quality Engineering.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Reliability and FRACAS Engineering Concepts including knowledge of reliability and maintainability predictions, FMECA/FDFI, RBDs, MTBF/MTBCF, Ao.
  • Experience presenting to Failure Review Boards.
  • Electrical Engineering experience or degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to present technical material to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses, including reliability predictions and maintainability predictions.
  • Perform Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection/Fault Isolation (FDFI) analyses.
  • Define and allocate RAM requirements.
  • Assess RAM performance metrics such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF), and Operational Availability (Ao).
  • Interpret data and analyze results to ensure performance compliance to requirements.
  • Maintain complex Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and system models.
  • Present findings to internal and external stakeholders at program meetings and Failure Review Boards (FRB).
  • Perform FRACAS tasks, including trend analysis and failure investigations.
  • Support the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM/FRACAS work.
  • Track Earned Value (EV) and provide accurate status on the schedule and budget for the RAM/FRACAS scope.
