About The Position

Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a R D, Research Associate working Pipeline from our Pittsburgh, PA, Nova Place or Friendswood, TX office location, with a start date on or before July 10, 2025. The Research Associate will engage with colleagues in R D to assist with the evaluation, development, and validation of clinical devices and molecular biomarkers that improve disease diagnosis, prognosis, and/or prediction of response to therapy. This role will spend the most time supporting the evaluation of opportunities for new clinical devices and tests and collaborating with cross-functional colleagues to create business cases and project plans. The Research Associate will collaborate with Castle's Laboratories to help design and organize experiments required for successful device and test development. Additionally, this role will support Castle's Data Science team through the organization, auditing, and interpretation of clinical research and technical data collected as part of ongoing studies and trials to develop validity and utility evidence for clinically offered and pipeline devices and tests.

Requirements

  • Minimally a B.S. in a scientific discipline, or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in clinical, research, and/or development environment.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency, scientific creativity, successful collaboration with others, and independent/critical thinking skills.
  • Prior experience in High Complexity testing is preferred.
