Quantitative Trader / Trading Analyst

The role at Virtu is for a Quantitative Trader who will be responsible for designing, operating, and improving high-performance algorithmic trading strategies. They will work on electronic trading venues globally and receive mentorship and training in trade floor operations. The role also involves collaborating with software engineers to enhance and develop trading strategies. • Design, operate, and improve high-performance algorithmic trading strategies
• Deploy trading strategies on electronic trading venues globally
• Learn and understand the intricacies of the trade flow process
• Integrate into strategy deployment and operation
• Collaborate with software engineers to enhance and develop trading strategies
• Become an expert in trading technology and its interaction with the market
• Contribute to the evolution of market microstructure and liquidity
• Utilize excellent quantitative problem-solving skills and mathematical aptitude
• Possess programming experience in Python, SQL, Java, or C++
• Communicate information precisely and accurately

• Excellent academic background, preferably in hard sciences such as computer science, math, physics, statistics, or related fields
