Job Summary: Provide support to the New York (Scottsville, West Henrietta and Victor) Supplier Quality Management System by participating in supplier qualifications, supplier changes, supplier non-conformances, supplier files maintenance, supplier monitoring, and assuring compliance with global procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of FDA current GMP/QSR Regulation and ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of statistical tools (i.e. acceptance sampling, defect rate).
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office). Excel expertise preferable.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork and customer service oriented.
  • Works under minimum supervision.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in supplier qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge on medical device or chemical manufacturing is desired.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Yellow Belt is desirable.
  • Fully Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain files (electronically or hard copy) for New York approved suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Contact the New York suppliers and/or CooperVision supplier management representative from the owner site to request the applicable documentation for the qualification process.
  • Prepare the supplier file requested and submit for evaluating, reviewing, and approving the Supplier Qualification package.
  • Participate in the New York supplier qualification evaluation, as required.
  • Maintain the New York Approved Supplier List.
  • Participate in supplier related change evaluations.
  • Send the change notifications approval to the supplier and applicable CV sites, as applicable.
  • Generate monthly supplier scorecards, calling for internal review and discussion and publishing results internally.
  • Conduct supplier audits, as required.
  • Participate and assist the Global Supplier Quality Team by updating New York KPI's, preparing reports and presentations, as required.
  • Participate or lead raw material/components non-conformance investigation and resolution from the supplier perspective, as assigned.
  • Communicate component NCRs to suppliers and requesting investigation report and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate all supplier interactions as needed and internal meetings to agree on the strategy to ensure the non-conformance resolution and manage the non-conformance issue until completion.
  • Perform other assignments related to supplier management, as requested.
