About The Position

The Quality Supervisor at Fortis Solutions Group is responsible for overseeing quality activities at the assigned location, focusing on developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures compliance with internal and external procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines, while facilitating audits and addressing non-conformities. The supervisor will also work closely with various teams to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience in the printing or packaging industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Quality or Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with quality and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with software such as Smartsheet, QMS, ERP systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the printing or packaging industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO and product safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
  • Interact with Estimating & Planning, Customer Relations, Sales, Operations, and Purchasing teams to maintain product supply and establish quality requirements.
  • Identify sources of waste and develop solutions.
  • Audit live jobs in production to verify quality checks are completed properly.
  • Provide support and training on Global Vision and AVT Print Quality inspection platforms.
  • Maintain the color standard folder program and complete functional testing as needed.
  • Perform internal quality audits and create corrective actions for non-conforming materials or processes.
  • Manage external complaints, including customer communication and root cause determination.
  • Work with operations to implement improvements to existing products and processes.
  • Issue all quality-related paperwork required by customers and vendors.
  • Establish procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Review quality procedures for effectiveness and train personnel on new procedures.
  • Write SOPs for current and future processes.
  • Analyze quality data to identify preventive actions and present findings to leadership.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and formulate corrective actions.
  • Travel to designated sites and customers as needed.
  • Investigate field complaints and provide training for employees.
  • Coach for performance improvement and communicate goals to motivate employees.
