About The Position

The Quality Assurance Engineer position at Lockheed Martin involves applying quality principles across various domains such as design, production control, and product evaluation. Requirements

  • Professional experience and background in Quality Assurance or a related technical discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • US Citizenship is required for special access to support the program.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified Quality Management System.
  • Experience applying quality concepts and tools including root cause/corrective action.
  • First Article Inspection experience.
  • Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply quality principles in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, and program performance.
  • Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality-related issues.
  • Engage in product failure investigations and material review board decisions.
  • Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and compliance requirements.
  • Develop strategies and systems to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity.
  • Evaluate quality systems for deficiencies and implement corrections.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment.
  • Conduct product quality tests and perform statistical analysis on products or materials that do not meet standards.
  • Engage in the supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.
  • Complete inspections of products and verify conformity per engineering requirements.
  • Prepare certificates of conformance and complete inspections using Coordinate Measure Machines.
