About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector (Level 1-2) at Fabrinet West is responsible for performing various inspection procedures to ensure that manufacturing quality levels meet or exceed established standards. This role supports organizational goals aimed at achieving total customer satisfaction through meticulous inspection of production assemblies and sub-assemblies, as well as providing guidance to other inspectors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6+ years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in PCBA.
• Ability to use measurement equipment and read ECO/Dev instructions, build drawers, and BOM.
• Familiarity with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and IPC 610 standards.
• Knowledge of First Piece and First Article processes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Lean manufacturing fundamentals
• Project management skills
• Ability to train others to lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process or finished production assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards.
• Determine acceptance or rejection or rework requirements of a part based on inspection results.
• Evaluate new procedures for non-standard rest and perform special set-up on new equipment.
• Assist others in correcting or preventing deficiencies in quality or workmanship.
• Give work direction to other inspectors and ensure customer expectations are met.
• Perform first article process and identify components.
• Perform related work as assigned.
