About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector (CMM) position involves performing inspections on parts to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements. The role is critical in maintaining quality assurance throughout the production process, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections. The inspector will document results, interpret technical drawings, and collaborate with the Quality Control Supervisor to ensure production flow aligns with quality standards.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience necessary for the position.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to read drawings and inspect the work being performed.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Manual and/or CMM inspection experience.
  • Experience using Height Gauges, Micrometers, Calipers, and other inspection tools.
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Epicor ERP 10 or similar Management/Manufacturing Information System.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in Coordinate Measuring Machine preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in quality inspection for at least 1 year.
  • Familiarity with GD&T for at least 1 year.
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine for at least 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of parts daily.
  • Document and record inspection results and properly file hard and electronic copies.
  • Interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Initiate nonconformance reports (NCR's) for all nonconforming material.
  • Perform inspections using the microscope.
  • Perform first-article reports using various inspection tools.
  • Follow customer specifications to satisfy the inspection requirements of the drawing or work order instructions.
  • Work closely with the Quality Control Supervisor and Scheduling Manager for production flow.
  • Uphold the company core values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
