About The Position

The Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily activities of a major renovation project at UNDP Headquarters in New York City. This position involves managing relationships with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and effective project execution. The Project Manager will be responsible for financial oversight, quality assurance, and contract management, all while leading a team to achieve project goals.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree (master's degree) in Architecture, Engineering, or related fields, or a bachelor's degree with additional qualifying experience.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in managing large-scale architectural and engineering projects, or nine years with a bachelor's degree.
• Experience with architecture design software such as AutoCAD is desirable.
• Familiarity with NYC construction codes and standards is desirable.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with the United Nations or UNDP is desirable.
• Familiarity with global renovation/construction codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management and facilitate effective communication for the DC1 renovation project.
• Ensure effective financial management and quality assurance, including budgeting and monitoring expenditures.
• Lead sourcing and contract management, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and manage project risks effectively.
• Oversee project commissioning and build strategic partnerships with stakeholders.
