About The Position

The Project Engineer for Advanced Military Engines Fan at Pratt & Whitney is responsible for part-level ownership within the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). This role involves planning and executing tasks to meet component goals, interfacing with engineering and program management, and ensuring timely delivery of hardware while addressing engineering challenges during manufacturing. The position requires effective communication, technical proficiency, and a customer-focused approach to support the Advanced Military Engine Program during its detailed design and initial verification phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of relevant engineering experience, or an advanced degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and aerospace design methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and work in multi-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and focus on results.
  • Proficiency in program/project management tools such as SAP and EVMS.
  • Experience with compressor component design/development.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) for part-level industrial planning and execution.
  • Coordinate timely creation/release of Technical Data Packages and Model-Based Product Definition.
  • Create, manage, and communicate the IPT industrial plan and coordinate part-level sourcing activities.
  • Collaborate with part producers and suppliers to address producibility issues and ensure timely hardware delivery.
  • Apply Project Engineering skills including detailed task planning, budget management, and earned value management (EVMS).
  • Travel up to 10% to visit suppliers and coordinate manufacturing across the United States.
