Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Program Quality Engineer position within our Electro-Optical/Infrared Solutions group at our McKinney, TX location. The ideal candidates will implement and develop processes to deliver compliant systems and specific customer quality flow down requirements throughout program lifecycles. You will be responsible for supporting programs ensuring that Quality Assurance technical requirements are developed using approved development processes and procedures. You will create or tailor existing planning to administer customer and internal quality requirements to cross-functional program teams, Quality Assurance disciplines supporting the programs, and the supply base.

Requirements

• Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Experience applying and adhering to Quality Management Systems IS09001 and AS9100.
• Experience with Industry and Government Mission Assurance Requirements and Standards.
• Experience collaborating with program stakeholders to develop practical solutions to complex problems.
• Experience in predictive and proactive measures and metrics assessments and developing actions to improve performance or mitigate problems.
• Experience creating relationships with program management, cross-functional program stakeholders, suppliers, customers and government representatives.
• Experience in supporting external and internal Quality System or Product/Process audits.
• Experience applying systems engineering, reliability and system safety requirements.
• Experience writing reports and presenting to key stakeholders.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry and/or with international customers.
• ASQ Quality Certification.
• Experience working in Raytheon Corrective Action System (RCAS) or other proven closed-loop corrective action system.
• RTX Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) or Industry Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification.
• Experience with Earned Value Management, Cost Account Management, and Risk and Opportunity Management.
• Experience with Material and Failure nonconformance review boards (Material Review Board/Failure Review Board).

Responsibilities

• Represent Mission Assurance (MA) on a program or project leadership team and/or capture teams including writing Basis of Estimates (BOE's) for the quality portion of new program bids.
• Communicate program goals, targets, requirements and customer feedback.
• Assist in providing program direction to assure quality tasking is accomplished within budget, on time and as defined in program planning.
• Prepare, collect, analyze, and maintain Quality metrics.
• Establish customer relations, process and validate customer corrective action requests.
• Assess impact of potential customer escapes.
• Ensure autonomous reviews and assessments of program performance are conducted, including self-guided technical assessments of Systems Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), Lessons Learned, production and programmatic (cost, schedule, and risks) practices.
• Assuring Quality Management System (QMS) processes are defined and implemented.
• Review and approve program documentation, including but not limited to, specifications, requirements, source control drawings, altered item drawings, assembly drawings, test plans, procedures, instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Act as the voice of the customer to autonomously assure mission results.
• Execute Quality initiatives regarding Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) and APQP (AS9145).
