About The Position

The Program Director at the Resident Home Association of Greater Dayton is responsible for overseeing the Home Managers and indirectly supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This role ensures the effective implementation of habilitation and service planning for individuals with disabilities, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and providing leadership in service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in special education, education, habilitation, psychology, behavior management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in training individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
  • At least one year of experience in developing and implementing plans for individuals with disabilities.
  • Working knowledge of the I.O. Waiver or similar services and requirements.
  • Functional computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise Home Managers and indirectly supervise DSPs.
  • Ensure timely implementation of appropriate habilitation and service planning for individuals.
  • Train and ensure Home Managers and DSPs are knowledgeable about individual plans and services.
  • Be on-call 24/7 for Home Managers and rotate on-call duties with other Program Directors.
  • Attend and participate in the Individual Service Plan (ISP) planning process.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation that meets ISP outcomes and services.
  • Supervise Home Managers to ensure sufficient staffing and meet individual needs for medical appointments, activities, and household items.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings at each location.
  • Manage client funds and financial records effectively.
  • Stay current with all rules and regulations governing service delivery as required by DODD, MCBDDS, and other entities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, agency personnel, and external vendors.
