About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that company goals and objectives are met efficiently and accurately. This role involves supervising multiple departments, motivating and training employees, maintaining quality standards, and controlling production costs while fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of related production experience required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong management skills to organize and direct oneself and train others effectively.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills to find solutions to complex issues.
  • Ability to develop skills in others to meet performance standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise multiple departments and a diverse team of production operators.
  • Ensure all employees are at their assigned work areas and that workloads are sufficient.
  • Maintain a timely workflow through the production floor and soil sort.
  • Ensure a safe, clean work environment while meeting quality standards.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Provide training and follow-up for department personnel to ensure job performance.
  • Coach employees daily/weekly to improve effectiveness.
  • Work with HR to determine hiring, training, and employee improvement needs.
  • Approve PTO and leave schedules for employees.
  • Introduce new employees to Company Objectives, Policies, and Safety Standards.
  • Enhance production and reduce productive labor percentage.
  • Review production and goal performance records with management routinely.
  • Notify Maintenance Manager of needed repairs and follow up on equipment repairs.
  • Ensure prompt and satisfactory responses to customer concerns.
  • Verify safety, quality, and productivity standards are met daily.
  • Maintain plant organization and cleanliness through 5S process management.
  • Set performance goals and deadlines that align with company objectives.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports and make promotion recommendations.
  • Monitor employees' performance and breaks to minimize lost time.
