About The Position

The Production Planning Coordinator at voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak is responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of orders through the production process, from planning to shipment. This role involves coordinating with various departments to maintain schedules, oversee documentation, and ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Secondary School Graduation or equivalent education.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in production coordination and planning.
  • Sound knowledge of routings and ability to read blueprints.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel; SAP knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to keep multiple tasks organized and work in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety rules and set an example for others in the yard and production areas.
  • Ensure accurate and timely generation of work orders and oversee proper documentation flow through the manufacturing process.
  • Close work orders and related documents, ensuring BOM's routings are accurate.
  • Lead the monthly cycle count program and ensure proper documentation generation and issuing.
  • Process and plan all sales orders into the shop schedule to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Advise the Sales Department of changes in the production schedule and monitor production progress according to schedule.
  • Maintain the flow of material to and from X-ray, Heat Treat, Cleaning, and Subcontractors.
  • Create, maintain, and ensure accuracy of shipping documentation as required.
  • Create accurate routings and lead the monthly cycle count program.
  • Coordinate with Production, Accounting, Engineering, Sales, and Purchasing to ensure realistic and up-to-date planning.
