About the position
The Production Operations Manager at Misfits Market is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the warehouse floor and managing a large team. They will be accountable for production performance, scheduling, and increasing production through strategic planning and leadership. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal communication skills and an analytical mind. They will also be focused on driving change, growth, and development within the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop a highly effective site leadership team
- Establish clear and stretching goals for the team
- Communicate and delegate key responsibilities to the team
- Utilize performance, development, and career tools effectively
- Prepare operating reports and establish key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Provide value-driven feedback to the team
- Build a Safety-First culture and ensure food safety
- Deliver site environmental, health, and safety performance
- Exceed expectations for internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations
- Hire and train new employees
- Serve as a positive role model of emotional intelligence and servant leadership
- Drive positive employee relations
- Create continuous improvement programs in key areas
- Improve the capabilities of all plant personnel
- Continuously improve site processes and technologies
- Stay current in new technological developments
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term opportunities
- Implement and sustain manufacturing best practices and procedures
- Meet/exceed relevant certifications/qualifications/requirements
- Act as a liaison between plant personnel and corporate functions
- Build solid relationships between teams
- Effectively communicate urgent issues internally and externally
