About the position
As an Engineer at 0x, your role will be to ensure the performance and reliability of the company's suite of products. You will automate critical engineering tasks and focus on optimizing existing systems. Your responsibilities will include maintaining uptime and reliability, managing the observability stack, automating engineering-related tasks, and developing a real-time data streaming platform. Additionally, you will be responsible for improving internal build systems and managing CI/CD. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with Kubernetes-based applications, and proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript and Go.
Responsibilities
- Help ensure uptime and reliability across 0x's suite of products and services
- Take ownership over our observability stack (Grafana, Mimir, and Loki)
- Automate a variety of engineering-related tasks and processes such as onboarding and offboarding engineers, and provisioning new services and cloud resources
- Manage and upgrade our Kubernetes infrastructure without downtime
- Assist in developing a robust real-time data streaming platform to be used for a variety of tasks related to data science, product development, and streamlining internal developer experience
- Improve internal build systems and manage/optimize CI/CD
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong technical background and 5+ years of professional engineering experience
- Experience maintaining and scaling Kubernetes-based applications on cloud infrastructure
- AWS experience
- Experience building applications and services with programming languages such as TypeScript and Go
- Advanced knowledge of modern DevOps practices (e.g., GitOps, CI/CD pipelines)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
- Understanding of networking and security principles in cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
