About the position

The Product Marketing Manager at DataGrail will play a crucial role in informing the product roadmap and bringing new products to market through effective messaging, sales collateral, customer engagement, and marketing activation. They will be responsible for supporting the company's core product offerings, understanding the ideal customer profile and target personas, and creating engaging stories to differentiate DataGrail from competitors. This role requires a strong ability to collaborate with various teams, excellent communication skills, and a passion for project management and go-to-market initiatives. The Product Marketing Manager will also be expected to become a subject matter expert in the data privacy industry and contribute to the company's overall marketing strategies and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Support four core product offerings and become an expert on the ideal customer profile, target personas, and customer journey
  • Define future innovation, plan and execute product launches, and build stories to engage customers for long-term success
  • Differentiate the company from the competition through messaging and positioning
  • Collaborate with sales and customer-facing teams to achieve revenue and retention goals
  • Work closely with demand generation to create quality pipeline and high-converting programs
  • Manage marketing programs with data-driven results
  • Deliver on complex projects, work cross-functionally, and collaborate with executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrate superb written and oral communication skills
  • Gain knowledge about the data privacy industry, establish relationships with various teams, and understand the company's mission, vision, value proposition, and differentiation
  • Conduct market analysis, review marketing strategies and campaigns, and analyze competitor's product and positioning
  • Review product roadmap and launch process, listen to customer and prospect calls to understand buyer challenges and needs
  • Become a subject matter expert for DataGrail products and collaborate with the product team
  • Build GTM strategy and launch plan for one or more products
  • Craft a SWOT analysis of products compared to the competition
  • Shadow sales and customer calls to understand pain points and needs
  • Monitor launch performance and analyze key metrics
  • Build and refine a customer maturity model
  • Be the go-to person for sales, customer success, and product teams
  • Lead new hire onboarding sessions and participate in the interview process
  • Influence quarterly campaign planning messaging and activation
  • Refine messaging and positioning based on customer feedback, new products, and market changes
  • Create best practices content and collaborate with the content team to develop thought leadership pieces

Requirements

  • Demonstrated history in product marketing
  • Creating and refining messaging & positioning
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative market analysis
  • Building GTM strategies
  • Managing and executing successful product launches
  • Storytelling and delivering compelling product marketing results
  • Collaborating effectively with sales and customer-facing teams
  • Working closely with demand generation to create quality pipeline and high-converting programs
  • Managing marketing programs with data-driven results
  • Track record of delivery on complex projects
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Superb written and oral communication skills
  • SaaS/technical product marketing experience required
  • Knowledgeable about the data privacy industry
  • Establishing relationships with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing
  • Overview of mission, vision, value proposition, and differentiation
  • Deep dive into the company's target audience, existing customer personas, and market positioning
  • Review of current marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Analysis of competitor's product & positioning
  • Review of product roadmap and product launch process
  • Listening to customer and prospect gong calls to understand buyers' challenges and needs
  • Becoming a Subject Matter Expert for DataGrail products and development cycles
  • Collaborating with product team to align on upcoming release and features
  • Building GTM strategy and launch plan for one (or more) products
  • Crafting a SWOT analysis of products compared to the competition
  • Shadowing sales and customer calls to understand customer pain points and needs
  • Monitoring launch performance and analyzing key metrics
  • Building and refining a customer maturity model
  • Being the go-to person and SME for Sales, CS, and Product
  • Leading new hire onboarding sessions and participating in the interview process
  • Influencing quarterly campaign planning messaging and activation
  • Refining DataGrail's messaging & positioning based on customer feedback, new products, and market changes
  • Creating best practices content and collaborating with the content team to develop thought leadership pieces
