About The Position

As a Processing Team Member (Sorter) at America's Thrift Stores, you will play a critical role in ensuring that donated items meet quality standards by efficiently sorting and categorizing products as they go through processing to preparation for the retail floor. You will be responsible for sorting donated items, identifying recyclable materials, and preparing great finds for the sales floor. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and quality in all tasks.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Sort donated items and identify great finds.
• Help identify recyclable items.
• Get sorted items sales floor ready.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Load and unload carts to get merchandise out safely and efficiently.
• Clean up and reset the processing area at the end of each day.
• Transfer bags and boxes from the cart to the table.
• Sort soft goods and hard goods into designated bins.
• Quickly identify and separate sellable, unsellable items, and items for recycling.
• Place sorted items in proper areas to ensure efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth transitions between workstations.
• Participate in team training to stay updated on quality standards.
• Be flexible to assist with other tasks or workstations as needed.
• Rotate positions regularly to prevent repetitive motion injuries.
