About The Position

Cardinal Health's Manufacturing department is responsible for the cost of production and maintenance activities, which include process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. The company is currently offering a $2,000 New Hire Sign-On Bonus (excluding individuals currently employed with Cardinal Health). The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience in a related field preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in a related field preferred.
  • Understanding of FDA regulations surrounding the manufacturing of medical devices and GMPs preferred.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines safely, identifying emergency stops and stopping the process when safety issues are identified, and reporting safety concerns.
  • Perform quality inspections in accordance with established procedures, visually inspecting in-process/finished material, stopping the process when quality issues are identified, participating in root cause failure investigations, and completing various forms.
  • Responsible for correct recording of traceability information, production information, cleaning documentation, and safety check documentation.
  • Complete line clearance activities, 6S activities, basic maintenance activities, and routine cleaning of production equipment to maintain the environment within established standards.
  • Comply with statutory responsibility under national/federal regulations, taking reasonable care of personal health, safety, and welfare along with teammates.
  • Follow established EH&S procedures and policies and encourage teammates to do the same.
  • Participate in EH&S activities such as root cause analysis, finding solutions, implementing improvements, inspections, and meetings.
  • Complete and remain up to date on required EH&S training.
  • Follow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA, and plant/corporate standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed.
  • Report all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe working conditions.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
