About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting all aspects of the manufacturing assembly process throughout the Malabar, Florida facility, with a focus on shared service processes. It is essential for this role to work effectively in a team environment and to be self-sufficient when responding to operational support requests or performing proactive duties. A basic understanding of automated equipment, including troubleshooting skills and programming, is required. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams is a must.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in Manufacturing Engineering.

Nice To Haves

• Highly motivated and driven self-starter who's able to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes, technical standards, and assembly equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience with MS Office products like Word and Excel.
• Electro-Mechanical Assembly process experience including fixture design, robotics/automation, and mechanical process equipment.
• Lean Six Sigma training, preferably Yellow or Green Belt certification.
• Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S and PFMEA.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of process simulation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to identify and implement process improvements and projects to reduce costs, minimize waste and increase efficiency.
• Deploy and support equipment verification/validation for new/modified processes.
• Monitor and analyze process data, identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements using statistical tools.
• Establish root cause and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods and tools.
