Principal Software Engineer - Dental Practice

The Practice Analytics team at Overjet is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead/Architect to join their cross-functional technical team. The team is dedicated to helping clinical teams deliver the best patient care at the dentist office by applying Overjet’s cutting-edge dental AI in a SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software engineering experience, 3+ years in an engineering lead/architect role, and strong experience with SQL and cloud native environments. • Apply cutting-edge dental AI in a SaaS platform to help clinical teams deliver the best patient care at the dentist office
• Consistently identify needed patient care and better explain treatment needs with powerful AI visualizations
• Work in a cross-functional technical team blending backend, frontend, data engineering, machine learning, data science, and product
• Work closely with sales, clinical, and customer success teams as we rapidly iterate the Platform and delight clinicians and patients
• Hold a high bar for the quality of the architecture and design of systems, while striving to keep it simple too
• Coach and mentor software developers to deliver timely, high-quality software
• Cultivate a strong engineering culture in an iterative, agile environment
• Lead complex engineering efforts and know what it takes to deliver while still having a healthy team
• Have 10+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years in an engineering lead/architect role
• Have knowledge of Java, Python, Javascript, Google Cloud Platform, Unix/Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful API, Service Mesh, IaC and various other technologies
• Have experience with a cloud native environment (GCP or AWS)
• Have strong experience with Sql (Postgres preferred)
