About The Position

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Press Assistant position at their Prescott Valley facility located in Prescott Valley, AZ. Qualified candidates should have experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Pay: $17.56 - $21.96 per hour depending on experience. Additional night shift premium of $2.50 per hour for hours worked between 7pm to 7am. Schedule: 3rd shift availability. Must be flexible to work five 8-hour shifts, or a 12-hour 3/2 schedule, depending on work volume. Current 3rd shift hours: 11pm to 7am (Sunday-Friday am).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Long term objectives to fulfill operator position
• At least 1 year of experience operating a machine is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw material rolls for printing
• Place rolls in machine and prepare for splicing
• Assist in removing rolls from rewind
• Remove and weigh startup rolls at beginning of job
• Fill and maintain viscosity of all inks
• Change Doctor Blades and over fill pans
• Daily housekeeping
• Remove and weigh waste from unwind
• Remove and weigh waste from rewind
• Empty refuse containers
• Make waste bales when baler is full
• Assist operator in any way for efficient operation
• Assist operator in monitoring quality
• Prepare Pre-Set up of sleeves, mandrels, anilox, and inks
• Keep machine parts clean
