About The Position

The School of Pharmacy at Texas A&M University Health Science Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-clinical cancer research and assist in special research projects.
  • Perform bioinformatic analyses of transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic datasets using cutting-edge tools.
  • Actively participate as a member of a research team and attend and contribute to relevant meetings.
  • Integrate multi-omics data to identify novel biomarkers and pathways associated with cancer and disease phenotypes.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all findings.
  • Generate and display the results and interpret their implications.
  • Conduct in vitro and in vivo work.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance ongoing projects.
  • Design and perform experiments using molecular and cellular biology techniques, including CRISPR, RNA sequencing, and advanced imaging.
  • Conduct literature searches and reviews and continue to update knowledge and develop skills.
  • Present research findings to colleagues and at conferences.
  • Write progress reports and prepare results for publication and dissemination via presentations and the world wide web.
  • Write grants and manuscripts, teach professional pharmacy students, mentor students.
  • Analyze experimental data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and present findings at conferences.
  • Prepare the laboratory for experiments including preparation of products and cleaning work areas.
  • Order supplies.
