About The Position

The Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to engage in independent research and collaboration with faculty. The position focuses on generating new knowledge to address public policy challenges and educating future leaders. Candidates are encouraged to align their research interests with the school's mission, particularly in areas such as ethics, decision-making, and social justice. The appointment is expected to begin in August 2025 and is renewable annually for up to two years.

Requirements

  • PhD or terminal degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., social psychology, management, organizational behavior) by August 2025.
  • Evidence of scholarly potential for a tenure-track appointment.
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience with big data and archival data sets.
  • Familiarity with web-scraping languages, particularly Python.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities
