About the position
We are seeking talented Platform Engineers to join our team at PDT's quantitative investment business. As a member of our platform engineering teams, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable and performant systems that are crucial to our success. With a focus on technology, problem-solving, and collaboration, you will work on projects from conception to delivery, specializing in areas such as HPC Infrastructure, Container Orchestration, CI/CD, Linux, Cloud, and Network Engineering. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver scalable and performant systems
- Implement automation for the platform infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with peer engineers and/or researchers to build high-quality, efficient, and reliable systems
- Adapt to change and dive into new domains to understand stakeholder needs
- Manage capacity and optimize benchmarks for critical workloads
Requirements
- Excellent technology, problem-solving abilities, curiosity, and discipline
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Specialization in domains such as HPC Infrastructure, Container Orchestration, CI/CD, Linux, Cloud, and Network Engineering
- Design, implementation, and operational support of scalable and performant systems
- Experience with open-source and proprietary tools
- Implementation of automation, including CI/CD pipelines and production metrics
- Obsessive user focus and collaboration with engineers and researchers
- Capacity management and benchmark optimization skills
