About The Position

The Plasma Center Manager at Grifols is responsible for overseeing the operations of the plasma collection center, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing staff to meet production and quality goals. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and community engagement to enhance donor satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Science, Business, Nursing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in clinical or general business.
  • Supervisory experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a medical and/or cGMP regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience with plasma or whole blood preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Meet quarterly goals and manage staffing according to labor efficiency standards and cost per liter targets.
  • Create an organizational environment that stimulates morale and productivity.
  • Operate the center with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Manage staff training and quality goals, implementing operational changes to maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate operations, developing action plans for improvements.
  • Manage headcount for efficient staffing during production fluctuations.
  • Direct all personnel functions including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee donor selection, plasma collection, and shipment processes through the Assistant Manager.
  • Ensure adequate training of production employees and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain inventory of goods and supplies necessary for center operations.
  • Ensure the facility is clean and equipment is in good working order.
  • Manage freezer operations and respond to alarms appropriately.
  • Develop community representation for public relations and marketing campaigns to attract donors.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and FDA-approved SOPs.
