Requirements

• Graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program.
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse.
• At least one year of professional nursing experience for GS-7 level or equivalent.
• At least two years of professional nursing experience for GS-5 level or equivalent.
• Completion of at least one full year of graduate education in a professional nursing educational program for GS-7 level or equivalent.
• Master's degree in professional nursing for GS-9 level or equivalent.
• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree for GS-11 level or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive professional nursing and public health nursing services in clinics, homes, schools, and community environments.
• Perform assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of minor illnesses.
• Provide emergency care, counseling, guidance, and health instruction to patients and families.
• Work with individuals, families, and communities to improve population health.
• Conduct home visits for case findings, referrals for treatment, and follow-up care.
• Plan and conduct community health programs and assessments.
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality of information.
