Requirements

• Graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited program.

• Certification (or ability to obtain certification) in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a specialty area of nursing for GS-9 and above.
• Possession of a master's degree in professional nursing for GS-9 level.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to critically ill, severely injured, and/or traumatized patients.
• Operate specialized medical equipment such as resuscitation units, cardiac monitors, and ventilators.
• Implement nursing interventions in accordance with patient care standards.
• Determine the severity of illness or injury and provide rapid intervention in emergent situations.
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities.
• Assist with the orientation of new employees.
