About The Position

Requirements

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Michigan (CPhT).
• Minimum of one year of practical experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology for prescription processing.
• Preferred experience with Liberty Software for seamless integration into our pharmacy workflow.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Adept at working in a team and collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and compliance standards.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, NO weekends or holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications to customers and healthcare professionals accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and package medications for distribution, ensuring compliance with legal and safety guidelines.
• Handle prescription intake, data entry, and patient information management in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and conduct periodic stock checks to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and offering medication counseling when appropriate.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to process insurance claims and verify coverage.
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
