About The Position

As a Pharmacist with Asante, you will have unequaled opportunities to make the most of your talents and experiences! Our pharmacy practice settings include centrally located and unit-based pharmacists who perform therapeutic interchanges, IV to PO switches, renal dose adjustments, pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring, warfarin dosing and monitoring, anticoagulation monitoring, drug level monitoring, antimicrobial monitoring, patient education and many other clinical functions. You will also have opportunities to participate in Code Blues and precept pharmacy residents and students. Additionally, we use Epic Pharmacy software and Omni-Cell Automated Dispensing Cabinets, Electronic Medical Administration and bar-coding at the bedside. Our team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs work 10-hour shifts, primary days and evenings with shared rotation of weekends every two or three weeks and occasional nights. Shift differentials for swing, night, and weekend hours also apply. Asante employs progressive management practices where decisions are based on competencies rather than seniority. Our scheduling practices are designed with respect for a balanced, quality lifestyle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy required
  • Registered Pharmacist by Oregon Board of Pharmacy required upon start
  • Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within 90 days of start

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited residency, preferred
  • Knowledge of Home Infusion, preferred
  • Experience in a similar hospital pharmacy practice setting, preferred
  • Advanced computer skills and general understanding of pharmacy systems, preferred
  • Pharmacy Specialty Certification
  • Immunization Delivery Certification
