About The Position
The Critical Care Patient Care Technician performs various patient care activities and related duties necessary to care for the personal needs and comfort of the patient as well as for the effective and efficient operation of the department. This includes conducting continuous EKG monitoring of cardiac rhythms, accurately interpreting EKG rhythms, noting changes in the rhythm, rate, or arrhythmia, and communicating changes to appropriate personnel when indicated. The technician also performs various general secretarial/receptionist duties and prepares, compiles, and maintains records for a critical care unit.
