Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and general accounting.
  • Proficient in ADP payroll systems and ERP systems similar to NetSuite.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, including taxation and reporting requirements.
  • Experience with managing leave of absence (LOA) processes and related payroll adjustments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly payroll using ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Process payroll information related to stock-based compensation to ensure earnings and tax information is accurately reported to taxing jurisdictions.
  • Manage payroll-related workstreams, including but not limited to, salary adjustments, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Work with ADP and the Edgewise legal department to ensure that proper state registrations occur for employees hired in new states.
  • Record payroll journal entries in NetSuite, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations for payroll-related items, such as accrued bonuses, vacation pay, and other payroll liabilities.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage leave of absence (LOA) processes, ensuring accurate payroll adjustments and compliance with policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll reports for management and auditors.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies; safe work practices; and company policies and procedures.
  • Meet with new employees to introduce them to payroll processes at Edgewise.
  • Coordinate onboarding new vendors by creating vendor records in NetSuite, managing vendor intake forms and W-9s to obtain information from vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
