About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Austin, TX (Pflugerville) is seeking a Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to join our team. The hours for this position vary from Monday to Friday between 7 am and 7 pm, and it is a PRN (as needed) position. The candidate will be required to travel to multiple outpatient clinics covering areas such as Pflugerville, Liberty Hill, Steiner Ranch, Lakeway, and Georgetown. The PRN rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and get things done.
• Process referrals and schedule patients.
• Complete the intake process and perform data entry.
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-authorizations.
• Review benefits with patients and collect copays.
• Greet patients and answer phones.
• Schedule patient appointments and operate the front office of outpatient centers.
• Support therapists and therapy assistants.
• Perform daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits.
