About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. The Parts Specialist will play a crucial role in our company's operations by managing the inventory of parts, parts procurement ensuring timely and accurate shipments, and assisting in maintaining a well-organized parts department. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all parts, including stock levels, reordering, and tracking.
  • Perform regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Organize and label parts for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Receive and process parts orders from internal and external customers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
  • Verify orders for accuracy and completeness before shipment.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, order status updates, and parts availability.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Communicate with parts suppliers to place orders, track shipments, and manage backorders.
  • Evaluate and compare suppliers for quality, cost, and delivery times.
  • Inspect incoming parts shipments for quality and accuracy.
  • Report any damaged or defective parts to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, including invoices, receipts, and returns.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, sales, and other relevant metrics as required.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling parts and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the parts department and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide support to team members as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus).
  • Prior experience in parts management or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and stand for extended periods if necessary.
  • Must pass a drug screen.
  • Must have ability to drive to and from work.
