About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Part Time Self Checkout Cashier is to take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs, exceeding expectations, and making every shopping visit pleasant. This involves accurately operating the cash register and maintaining security and control of all funds. Associates represent Harris Teeter to customers, and their performance reflects the company's image. Positive customer relations enhance the public's image of Harris Teeter and contribute to customer loyalty and increased sales. Training will be provided for associates with extensive customer contact.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions.
