About The Position

Kennesaw State University is seeking part-time faculty members for the Department of Information Systems and Security for the academic year 2024-2025. These positions are open rank and will be filled on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. The faculty will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in various cybersecurity-related subjects, contributing to the university's mission of providing high-quality education and fostering a student-centered learning environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in cybersecurity, information systems, information security, information assurance, or a closely related discipline is required to teach undergraduate courses.
• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required to teach undergraduate courses.
• A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in cybersecurity, information systems, information security, information assurance, or a related discipline is required to teach graduate courses.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Security+
• Experience teaching online courses.
• Industry experience in areas of cybersecurity, information security and assurance, and/or digital technologies.

Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in cybersecurity, information security management, contingency planning, digital forensics, network security, information technology audit, or other related classes of cybersecurity.
• Assigning teaching responsibilities based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
