About The Position
Cabrini Supportive and Palliative care is an RACP accredited training site for Palliative medicine inpatient, consult and cancer term. The medical team includes three palliative medicine physicians/specialists, a geriatrician with palliative medicine interest, and two advanced trainees. The team works closely with the unit multidisciplinary members and referring physicians/specialists in catering for symptom management, coordination of care, complex discharge planning, and end of life care management. The Consultant in Palliative Medicine/Palliative Medicine Physician leads and manages the delivery of evidenced-based Palliative medicine to patients and families across Cabrini. The Palliative Care service operates in an integrated model across 4 service arms: consult; inpatient, ambulatory, and community. The doctor will oversee the clinical service delivery to patients and families as directed by the Director of Palliative Medicine.
