About The Position

The Outreach and Education Division Chief in the Legislative Branch is responsible for overseeing the Outreach and Education Division within the Office of Public Information and Education at the Copyright Office. Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee, and direct the Outreach and Education Division.
• Develop, implement, and manage programs directed to external audiences including the general public and specialized groups.
• Establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
• Resolve informal complaints and grievances among staff.
• Prepare detailed plans, goals, objectives, and requirements for management processes.
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Copyright Office's communications and social media program.
• Create and review informational materials for various audiences about Copyright Office activities.
• Direct internal and external communications initiatives, assessing needs and trends.
• Provide expert advice on outreach topics and manage changes in organizational structure and policies.
