About The Position

The Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) at Northridge Surgery Center is responsible for providing nursing care during surgical procedures. This role involves preparing and positioning patients, circulating surgical cases, and ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment. The RN will work in a state-of-the-art facility performing a variety of outpatient surgical procedures, with a focus on orthopedic surgeries. The position offers a supportive work environment with no weekends, holidays, or on-call duties.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Three years of OR/circulating experience.
• Must have orthopedic experience.
• Current unrestricted TN RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and service during surgical cases.
• Position and prep patients for surgery.
• Circulate surgical cases and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures in various specialties, including orthopedics, dental/oral surgery, pain management, GI, neurosurgery, and general surgery.
